The trailer pump is designed to be used for the hardest to reach places. With this is in mind we use this pump exclusively with 2.5in hose. This requires a mix design with a close to 50/50 sand to rock ratio. We can acheive a pumpable mix through 2.5in hose with 1in minus rock, it does not need to be 3/8 rock. We do also ask that VMA is used to increase pumpability. Here is an example of a mix design for this pump;

- 1500lb 1in Minus Rock
- 1470lb Sand
- 525lb Cement (can be combination of fly ash and cement)
- VMA
